Perth, Australia & Bali, Indonesia -- OMG.

Hey guys! Happy New Year! I hope you had a wonderful christmas break and I hope your new year is off to a great start! This is my first blog post of 2019, and it feels so good to be back here, talking with you. I recently just got back from one of the best, and might I add, much needed, vacations ever! For the longest time, I had wanted to visit Bali and Australia, and thankfully, after Christmas, I was able to cross those BOTH off of my bucket list. These trips were all that I could have imagined and more. They were absolutely magical!!!

In Bali, I stayed at the Eastin Canggu Bali, and it was UNREAL! The staff was extremely accommodating and the food was incredible. The hotel provided breakfast which included both gourmet Indonesian food, omelettes, pancakes  and an oriental breakfast. Along with that, I loved the fact that the hotel took on the task of arranging rides to any activity or place that guests wanted to travel to in the city. If that was not convenient enough for you they gave you the option of having a personal chauffeur for the day!! Like what! The best part about this was that all these perks ended up being only about $75-$80 USD for the entire day! Which is absolutely insane for a private driver! Could you imagine how much this would cost here in America?! All of these accommodations made everything so much easier for me so see and do everything I wanted to in the city.

The food in both cities was absolutely amazing! Here’s a small list below of some of the places I would recommend for each city!

Meet & Bun (Australia)

The Savage Kitchen (Bali)

Strawberry Fields (Bali)

Mano Beach House (Bali)

Cafe Organic (Bali)

In Bali, I went to the Ubud marketplace, where I saw some authentic Indonesian art and products. They had everything from purses, to jewelry, to clothing. The best part of this experience was that everything was reasonably priced, and the vendors were willing to negotiate with you on items you loved!

If you follow me on Insta, you saw that I also went to the Bali Swing, and for ONLY  $35 USD, you get access to 18 different swings and their various nests (like the one pictured above). You cannot tell from the picture, but I was scared to get on the swing initially. But 2019 is about continuing to break down barriers and demolishing all of my fears. 2018 was only the very beginning and me not letting my fears get in the way of an unmatchable experience was a testament to myself that I can do anything I put my mind to, with God on my side. So, Jalisa: 1 Fear: 0 (AGAIN)

One of the most surreal things I did in Australia was watching the sunrise on the beach and it was one of the most breathtaking things I have ever seen in my life! It was like seeing God’s creation unfold before my eyes in a new way and I was filled with awe. The feeling was indescribable!

On New Year’s Eve, I went to a beach party and watched the fireworks on the literally on the beach -- It was a DREAM. When night fell, a large group and I walked the strip and ended up swimming in the ocean with our clothes on! Like whatttt! It was insane. The most fun I have probably had in my entire life!

One thing I’ve always loved about traveling is how I am able to explore and experience other cultures and appreciate how others live on a daily basis. I am glad that I was able to bask in the beautiful sceneries of Bali and Australia and be present while also still capturing some of my favorite moments. Balance.

All in all, this was a dram trip and the most amazing thing to do to bring in the NEW YEAR. I 100% would recommend  Bali and Australia as MUST GO travel destinations. From the breathtaking sceneries, the wonderful people to the unmatchable experiences -- definitely one for the books.

Lessons learned on this trip: Carry bug spray with you! The mosquitos in Bali were on me like bees on flowers! I came back home with some battle scars. Also, my favorite places to vacation shop are Prettylittlething, Boohoo and ASOS!
