You all know I’ve always talked about wanting to be a Mom (yes, even as a child), from watching how my mother parented me to finally being able to see how much unconditional love you can truly have for a little human being that isn’t even here yet. Since finding out that Cory and I were expecting, I’ve literally been dreaming about our baby shower! With the help and vision of our event planner, we were able to create the perfect dream baby shower into a reality! From the amazing vendors to the support of our family and friends, our baby shower was nothing short of amazing!

I wanted to share with my Internet Fam some of our amazing vendors that helped bring our vision to life for Cory, Me and Baby Harper. Keep reading to check out who we used around the DFW metroplex and how they contributed to making sure this day was everything and more for us.

Event Coordinator: Uptown Champagne Co

We wanted to go for a Boho Chic theme for our baby shower, so we hired our absolute favorite event coordinator to help bring our vision to life. From the frills and very detailed decor, Amanda made sure our special day was everything and more!

Flower Wall: DFW Flower Wall

If you guys have been following me for a while then you know I’m no stranger to DFW Floral Wall. Cory and I used them for our wedding and of course we had to use them for baby Harper’s shower! They helped bring our Boho Chic theme together with this gorgeous white and neutral flower wall. This was definitely the most perfect backdrop to take pictures with our friends and family.

Furniture: Beautiful Event Rentals

All of our furniture from the shower was rented from Beautiful Event Rentals which specializes in customized social events! This gorgeous suede green couch added the perfect pop of color to our theme. With the contrast of the soft pink pillows and boho chic rug, Beautiful Event Rentals definitely came through with the boho themed furniture!

Sign: Alpha Lit Dallas

Baby Harper’s lit letters sign came from no one other than Alpha Lit Dallas! We used them for our wedding so using them for our baby shower was definitely a no-brainer. I absolutely loved the pink and coral tone lit letters especially at night, they truly set the most peaceful and beautiful ambiance to the ending of the shower.

Photographer: Marrica Evans

You guys know every time we have anything that requires a camera Marrica is there! Of course this special event was no different! Every picture taken at our baby shower was done by none other than Marrica Evans! From our wedding to our baby shower and of course my campaign shoots— she captures it all!

Caterer: Nomi’s Kitchen and Cakes LLC

Nomi’s Kitchen came through with the delicious menu during our shower. Our menu included roasted basil chicken, a 5-cheese mac and cheese, slow-cooked bbq pork ribs, and a 3-layer key lime cake for dessert, one of the best black-owned businesses I’ve ever had the pleasure of using for an event!

Violinist: Gabrielle Clover

For our live entertainment we had Violinist Gabrielle Clover, who swooned the entire baby shower party with her amazing talent throughout the entire event.

Dress: Patbo Cutout Fringed Maxi Dress

Since the beginning we knew we wanted to do a Boho Chic theme for our baby shower, so when I came across this Cutout Fringed Maxi Dress by Patbo, I knew this was the one! The netted mesh detail and oversized tortoise belt-buckle truly gave me the look I envisioned and made me feel absolutely beautiful in it.

Originally, Cory and I didn’t want to do a baby shower especially being the fact that we are still in the middle of a global pandemic, but life this year has made me realize how amazing it is to be surrounded by your loved ones, so I wanted everyone to have a chance to come out and celebrate Harper! It was definitely a celebration to say the least. From the food, to our family and friends— everyone made us feel so loved and celebrated and we are so grateful for all of the love Harper has received so far!

Cory and I still can’t believe we have a baby girl on the way— from feeling her constantly moving inside of me, it truly still feels so unreal. We are beyond thankful for our special day, being able to celebrate Harper and our vision coming to life with the help of our vendors— truly the best backyard baby shower EVER!
