How Influencers Can Maximize During this Time

As an influencer, it’s our job to provide expert insight and knowledge of a brand’s products and services in order to convince our audience why they should purchase their products. Because we have the power to affect the purchasing decision of so many people, what we say is important and it matters. At a time like this, it can be sensitive to promote brands and their products when the focus of the world is in survival mode.

So as an influencer, how can you still find ways to make sure you’re doing your job and maximizing your brand during this time? Here are a few things that I’ve personally been practicing since the start of social distancing, and they’ve helped me maximize my time. Although this is a weird and uncertain time for us all, we can still find ways to remain productive and fulfill our purpose.

1. Rest

Finding time to simply rest and recharge during this time is extremely important. Resting allows you to take some time for yourself so that you can be your best self during this self-quarantine period.

2. Plan out valuable content + create a schedule for the rest of the year

You can never get too far ahead in terms of planning future content. Take this time to plan out valuable content as well as your schedule for the remainder of the year. Once the time rolls around, you won’t feel like you’re rushing or cramming things into your schedule because you’ll already have it all planned out!

3. Interact and intentionally learn your audience, what they like, and what they want to see from you

As an influencer, interacting with your audience is key. Take some time to engage with your audience by seeing what they like, figuring out what kind of content they want to see from you, and other insightful information you could use to better learn your audience.

4. Try something new

New things are both exciting and liberating. This is one of the best times to try out new content that you may have always wanted to try, but just didn’t have the time or courage to try them out. The best part about it, if you decide you don’t enjoy that content, there’s plenty more time to try something else!

5. Find a new stream of income

I know you’ve been seeing the various memes and messages on social media about this being the perfect time to start a new hobby, brand or business. Write down a list of things you are currently doing and see how those things can tie into one another to produce another stream of revenue. You’d be surprised to know that many of these business ideas go hand-in-hand with one another, which means you’re still able to produce a source of income during these trying times.

6. Compile a list of brands you would like to pitch/work with during 2020-21 + come up with a game plan on how you will make it happen

This should be an active list that you add to even after social distancing is over. Manifesting who you want to work with in the years to come is so important for you and your brand. Compile a strong list of brands that you want to pitch to, find their contacts and don’t be afraid to reach out! Remember, faith without works is dead!

7. GIVE YOURSELF GRACE!

This is a first for all of us. Don’t feel pressured to just create if you are not feeling it. Do what’s best for you and give yourself the necessary grace needed to get through these times. If there are days where you feel like doing absolutely nothing but resting and recharging, then do just that!
